    Elektra Bekum Bandsaw Guide...

I'm not familiar with the saw, so just looking at your pictures .... could you not use shims to bring it square? Couple of suggestions below, but I can only go from your pictures. A set of old feeler guages can be useful for making shims (by cutting them up). Try shimming where the arrows...

    Food Safe Finishes

Try Tung oil on a piece, and it's food safe. The only thing you might have to consider (because it's a pub/restaurant) is a possible reaction to those with an allergy to nuts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tung_oil#F ... _reactions "As the source of tung oil is a nut, people with nut allergies...

    Large home made clamps v1

Inspired by the list of Niki's jigs posted here ... I thought I would try making a couple of large clamps - the cost of materials was less than £5. They are not complex or a work of art  but quite functional/adaptable. These will clamp from 1½" to 40" (3.8cm to 1 metre). I tightened...

    blog versus bulletin board

The benefit of forum software over a blog is that there are many more choices available in terms of layout and design templates. PHPBB has been around for years and has had probably more than a million man hours pumped into it. vBulletin is a paid option that is excellent. With a paid option...

    wadkin bandsaw restoration

I am finding that the wider the 'face' of steel exposed (as the positively charged anode) ... the quicker the results, even at 1 or 2 amp draw. So rather than threaded rods, I'm using a few of these now. Just a thought.
