Hello folks
As a first post, I need to ask a question re- a Kity 613 bandsaw.
I have just bought this with no manual, and want to know if I can use a ⅛" blade? I don't hold out much hope, but thought I'd ask anyway.

Many thanks.

Ring Ian at Tuffsaws - 07896-058499, give him all the machine specs and the type of cutting you want to do - he will sort you out.

Highly recommended and first class service.

Hi Jack
Any bandsaw will take an 1/8" blade, but you will probably have to modify the guide blocks a little. I'm not aware of any BS that has metal guides that can be adjusted that far back. So the way to get round it is to a) replace the metal guide blocks with wooden (or Tufnol) ones, or b) face the existing ones with a soft pad. I have a Scheppach Basato and the guides are bearings. I stick a thin disk of MDF on them. That way I can adjust them right up to the blade, including the teeth, without the teeth or the machine being damaged. I support a 1/16" blade in this way.

+1 for Tuffsaws.
