You guys amaze me with... I think I will give it a little sharpen... These tools are 2 wing and are designed for both to cut. How can YOU sharpen them and make sure both wings are cutting on the same circle? and a small difference will mean a lot Send it to the saw doctor and get it done...

For cutting ply I would recommend a blade with very sharp alternate bevel teeth. and as many teeth as possible. 180 say 48 teeth. Normal alternate bevel are only 10/15 degrees. you need something with 35 degree or more. as said its the blade that does the cutting. cheap blades will not give a...

Thanks gasman i need to know the height and thickness of the blades. there are so many machines I find it difficult to know all the sizes. I can do 12" x 3/4" x 1/8"; 12" x 1" x 1/8"; 12" x 1 1 /8" x 1/8"; I have the 1" ones in stock. Doug

With Alu blocks you get a conflict between the block, knives and screws. Alu doesnt like the tough steel and wears down quicker. Not a problem if you only use them occasionally but if its professional use I would recommend the steel one.

you are getting 14 different cutterheads for your 3500k. that makes each head £250 each. some of them are large (tenon discs) and some have complex profile knives. At 3500k they are very reasoably priced.

I really dont think you would get a better finish than with a good quality sharp TCT 2 flute router. many people use their routers over a period of time on different materials and dont realise the cutters gone blunt and needs sharpening. Could that be the case with the spirals? I will check...
