    Anyone installed an external flue for a log burning stove in a two storey house?

    We’ve just had one installed by a local Hetas firm. The flue goes straight up through a bedroom, attic and roof. I’m just now in the process of constructing a false fire breast in the lounge and bedroom. So far alls looking good.

    Being a hobby woodworker, how can I tell the difference between oak and ash logs in their green state? I’ve got a log burner and had logs of both woods delivered but some got mixed up. The bark looks the same to me and the the rest also?
