    Memory foam

Sorry Murphy just missed this, In case anyone else is interested, Don't be feared about fire with foam cushions, they will ALL burn given enough heat, it's just that they will no longer give off cyanide gas like they used to before the Woolworths fire which is when all the laws changed, Foam is...

Ive had that bandsaw for what seems like decades, It will out live you as long as you don't over tighten any of the screws on the casting that adjusts the upper bearings its about the only part that's no longer replaceable, all bearings are standard size, 88 inch blade, grow into it for a bit...

    Axminster router elevator / lift

you could turn the plate round 180 so the hole is on the infeed side, only difference I can see would be that the name on the plate would be facing the rear. I have a Jessem lift with a 100mm feed extracting from under the table, the gears still get covered in dust, but never seems to affect...

Diamonds are forever or are they ?

I suppose what I'm after knowing is Just how good are the expensive stones, considering all they will be used for is to flatten backs and do primary bevels, are they likely to last 4 times as long as the cheaper ones. If so how long do they last, 6 months, 12, several years ? Allan

Hi All Hopefully someone can shed some light on this one for me. What's the difference in Real world terms between this lot, for a hobby user, just for getting up to the point of honing, which I have covered with 3M film. Seems to be a hell of a price difference...

Have I completely messed-up the cap-iron of my plane?

    Kreg v Jessem

I have been using a Jessem fence for a good few years now and have never had a problem with it at all, Its built like the proverbial Outhouse and has a good weight to it, Like all non Incra fences you tap it for fine movement, usually pivoted from one end which means the chances of it ever...

How to quiet down the screaming router?

I run a fully enclosed table and its really quiet, so quiet in fact I can hear my extractor running, The router plate has holes in it so air and dust go down and out the bottom to a 100mm pipe, keeps the router cool enough or at least has done for the last 5 years, mind its never running for 8...
