    I did actually venture into fleabay/gumtree and S&S's used section and couldnt find bugger all except S&S had a used centura with i expect to be a lot of money

    i have not, a lot has put me off looking for used machines, delivery, possibilities of having to fix something without having a clue etc.

    I do like the SCM machines as well as the Hammer/Felder, im just not sure i can justify 3.5k + as a weekend warrior. maybe i just need to lower my expectations.

    Thanks for the response, Im happy to re-evaluate and save up a bit more. I have no intention of buying a used machine as I want the piece of mind of a guarantee and support as well as part availability not being a tinkerer.

    I find myself in a dilemma. I took a trip down to Yandles yesterday t look at the Laguna 14bx.....didnt have any Im looking to spend around 1500 and was pretty much set on the 14bx...until the guy in the shop was saying the Sabre 450 although made in china has excellent aftercare which is UK...

    So i went with the following, seems to do the job: put the frame up and sealed it with expanding foam, the made a bottom insulated stud wall which is a tigh friction fit....might add a couple of screws just in case. havent done the top part yet but thinking about hinging it to the bottom.

    I did think about having the current door sprayed, but another part of the reason is in the unlikely event someone decides to force the door open and steal my goodies they wont be able to open the door if there is an internal door/structure blocking it.

    interesting ideas, thanks for the input, the hinged approach would mean making sure a significant area is clear for the door to lift. I also like the sliding door idea but i dont think anything is level enough and id make a complete pigs ear of it :)

    Thanks mike, I was looking at the roll stuff for the ceiling, just to keep the cost down a bit, i didnt think of foil backed pasterboard, nut thats a good shout. For the walls, 2 layers of 25mm celotex? will that be much different to 1 x 50mm layer? Ill definitely go with OSB as it will also...

    Best M4 insert for hardwood (mahogony)?

    im no insert specialist, but the guys i have seen on yootoob use stainless steel ones for attaching legs to tables because of strength.

    Apparently the PSPlus games for May include Farming simulator! Im not sure how it will be on a playstation, but im going to damn well find out :) been looking at it for a while now.
