    TENS anyone?

There's more than physio out there. We will be going to our osteopath this afternoon. That is for my back and neck. I have found that it works much better for me and it also tends to be a lot more gentle too. I take 'neck oil' too. Mine come with a Wadworth 6X lable on it

    TENS anyone?

A true ray of sunshine shone into my life when I read this thread #-o #-o I did something to my shoulder earlier in the week and it was quite painful, like enough to stop sleep or do anything difficult like turning my head! I have a Tens machine, but it had been packed ready for our house...

    Which Chuck To Choose?

"Metal work of any significance on a wood lathe is limited to softer alloys with hand tools." You mean a bit like this Chas? Ali turned in my K10 (the SK100 predecessor) with a pointy live tail centre using an HSS 3/8" spindle gouge. Slowly, slowly and I finished up with a lot of ali wool...

    Hello I'm new

You are welcome Raymond. I especially like the lettering on the boxes. Band saw or fret saw? Jig or not the joinery is not one of my specialties and they look pretty good to me. I have made a couple of toy boxes and as far as i could see they are not that simple. If you have a gander at my...

    cc or ml?

Not sure which 'metric country you are in Bob, but, once again, the French use metric for their plumbing until you get to the taps and several other compression joints where they go to 1/2" BSP. They have a quite cleaver system on the pipe work too. They use even numbers, 12, 14, 16, etc pipes...

    cc or ml?

Something that fascinated me when we lived in France was that one day the Meteo bloke, weather forecaster, suddenly started to use litres/sq meter for rainfall. they had always used mm prior to that. When I checked to see what the hell he was on about I realised that 1 lt/sq metre is 1mm anyway...

    cc or ml?

If you think about it a metre is only a yard with 10% inflation init  and it took Napolian Bony parts to come up with a measurement of 39 1/4" And wots wrong with the system of gnats, jimmies and tads. And going on to torque loading, I was always taught that the correct torque...

    Google search?

A while back I got really fed up with being tracked by those interfering bunch of google. Someone on a Mac forum mentioned a search engine that doesn't track at all. It's an Open source engine called https://duckduckgo.com/ So, if you don't like being tracked have a look at them. I have been...

    cc or ml?

Ah, but with a model aircraft you have got to factor in the Reynolds number too, init :? We have always measured the wing loading of our models using lbs per sq inch, pronounced 'lubs per sqinch' You can calculate the Reynolds number by Reynolds Number = Speed x Length / kinematic...
