    Flow Energy

Thanks for the replies. The numbers suggest I would save over £200 a year so not small change. I am nervous about them being new but also like them being uk based and the person you speak to takes ownership and sorts out whatever you need. Sounds a bit like First Direct who I rate highly...

    Flow Energy

I've been doing some price comparison for my gas and electricity and Flow Energy keep coming out cheapest for me. From what I can research they are new to the market 2 months ago so cannot find any feedback on them. They claim to be focused on customer service ( don't they all say that ) and...

Wood, nominal sizes, imperial vs metric, what's going on?

If you want snug dados in 18 mm ply, I wouldn't bother with 18 and 19 mm cutters. Use a smaller cutter and an exact width dado jig. Much better job. Lots of examples on you tube and on this site Mark

    Mobile Machine Base

I seem to have a case of posts vanishing so ill type the last one again Everyone I can think of is around the £50 mark. I'm sure Rutlands have done them for about £30 during offers in the past, so might have to wait a bit I've been happy with my previous Axi and Delta ones (though I made some...

Where to get small piece of Lignum Vitae

Hi Want to make some wooden bandsaw guides. Anyone know where to buy a small piece. Only need about 1/2 inch square by 6 inch. ( might need slightly bigger to give me something to hold onto while I square it up) Maybe a pen blank, do they exist in Lignum and where to buy? Cheers Mark

A question for Kity 613 bandsaw owners

Hi This is new to me and I've never owned my own bandsaw before so never had to set it up. I picked this up last week, today I managed to get the motor working (switch full of saw dust). While I had it in bits, I've noticed the table tilt (trunnions?) mechanism is quite stiff. Is this...

    Electrolysis

Thanks guys, I've already read several articles from the web but nothing that told me about the current. I have nothing suitable as the power supply so need to get something and only want to spend a few quid on that, hence checking what I buy is suitable. I had been wondering about using a 12v...

    Electrolysis

I read a thread on this recently but can't find it now I fancy a go at this. Most people seen to use some form of 12v dc supply. Does it matter how many amps the supply is? Cheers Mark

    Transporting a bandsaw

Hi I'm off to pick up my first bandsaw on Friday, a small kity 613 I think. Is there anything I need to know about transporting it? Anything need bolting down, tightening up etc? Cheers Mark

Has anybody used this site before?

Yup, think the company is actually called nuts and bolts. Just bought some festool off them, no probs at all. They are the cheapest place to buy festool at the mo, and refunded the festool voucher value within two days. Got nothing bad to say, would recommend and use again Mark
