Which fixing? 3x3 post to a wall

I take it these are basically the same as Tapcons are they? Ed

    Butt joining 9 mm plywood

Yes, but if you glue the ply tongue into the groove, its effectively back to being 9mm ply again. I'd have thought it would be OK Ed

Which fixing? 3x3 post to a wall

That is a shield anchor, is it not? Ed

Anyone have problems with quality control on a LN plane?

I had an issue with a small shoulder plane lever cap. The screw was bored off centre to the casting and the thread came through the side of the metal. LN were excellent and sent me another lever cap, blow me if it didn't have the same problem. The next time they sent me a complete new plane...

Which fixing? 3x3 post to a wall

I'd use a shield anchor - I imagine screwfix have something suitable. That said, I did something similar on my deck recently and used normal brown plugs and long screws. https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/view ... hp?t=35751 Ed

SketUp Pics of my Workshop Layout

Excellent - much clearer with the drawings. Its basically the same size I have, funny thing is that from the pictures I had just assumed it was a bigger area. So, when is the dividing wall coming down.... Ed

    new table saw.

I know I said this before, but the fence for my Kity 419 has always seemed OK, within the limits of what it is - ie a smallish light duty saw. Is the Ax one different in some way, that people are dissatisfied with, or am I just tolerant of something others are not? Either way I always thought...

    new table saw.

No, I was referring to the fact that Tom recently downgraded from this saw, prior to his recently determined need to upgrade. Ed

    Domino...worth it or nae?

So after 6 pages you're not having one?! My wife has pointed out to me that she knows as soon as I refer to a tool thats interests me, but which I say I don't need, its only a short matter of time until I buy one. Just saying.... Ed

best place to buy around 64' for 3x3 PAR?

I can't help you with anything specific to the Swindon area, but I'd stay away from Jewsons. Just out of interest, if you don't have a regular timber supplier, what are you going to put in the timber store? Ed

WIP Comp entry - TV Stand in maple - FINISHED!!!

This is coming together nicely. A very thoroughly documented WIP, or is it a thinly veiled stealth gloat for plane ownership - by god you've used some kit so far! Looks like nice timber as well. Ed

    Getting a buzz from wooworking

I bought some wasp nest destroyer spray from B&Q thats very good. Its a foam that you coat the nest with and it kills them off. The best bit is that the can squirts a fine jet of foam that you can aim at the nest from a couple of meters away - has worked for me on a couple of nests. Ed

Mr Ed on the decks (pics with sunshine now added!)

I know what you mean Blister, there is a certain maintenance overhead. Having said that previous decks at other houses I have done still seem to be standing up OK. I think it is partly down to detailing how they stand up over the years. Ed

    Making Space

Fitting a sink in is definitely on my list, it just seems like so much work when I think about it that I have yet to get round to it. Ed

    Making Space

Don't suppose you have a layout drawing do you LN, I can't quite visualise how the space is set out. Ed
