Axminster - Oh NO!! Why did I click on STORE LOCATOR

She was very knowledgeable, without the bullsh*t you sometimes get from male salesmen. Now, sitting on this Domino fence is giving me splinters in the a*se, I need to make a decision one way or the other. I have a commission for a shaker style bench for someone on its way to me which is swaying...

Axminster - Oh NO!! Why did I click on STORE LOCATOR

I spent nearly an hour in the Nuneaton Axminster today and didn't buy a thing, but I did have a long conversation with a very helpful lady in the Festool department....... Ed

table tops - double or single row of biscuits?

I can't say I have ever noticed anything I've made with PVA moving significantly enough to bother me. Is creep really an issue? I don't doubt that scientifically it does happen, but is it really of a magnitude that would bother most of us? Ed

table tops - double or single row of biscuits?

Paul - out of curiosity how did you arrive at the number of biscuits to use there? If I was going down the biscuit route I'd have had about half that many in a piece of wood that size. Ed

Taper Some Grooves Into Oak Board For Belfast Sink Drainer??

You need to construct a sled that the router is fixed to that slides on some tapered runners fixed to the worktop. A drawing would make it clearer, but hopefully the words may give you the inspiration... Ed

    Veritas LA block with Tote

It is basically as the other LV totes, the only difference is it leans forward a bit more, which generates more pressure down onto the plane sole. I find the LV totes are an acquired taste, which took me a while to appreciate, but I'm OK with them now. Ed

Classic Hand Tools sell the Sauno range of kilns http://www.classichandtools.com/acatalo ... -Kiln.html Don't know if they're any good but that would be one starting point. Ed

I shall be very interested to see this come together. I've been in the market for a new saw for a while now, but there doesn't seem to be one just right. Ed

    Veritas LA block with Tote

What you mean at the back? if you do mean that, then you can get both and as Alf says two sizes of tote. Ed
  18. Mr Ed

    Veritas LA block with Tote

Paul - the disadvantage of your No.3 is that you are stuck at 45 degrees (unless you want to enter the world of back bevels) whereas with a bevel up configuration you can make the LA Block into a high angle plane to suit the circumstances. That, in my view, is a massive benefit over a bevel down...

It appears, unless I have missed something that the Jet Supersaw (aka JTS 250) is not sold in the UK anymore. That being the case there appears to be a gap in the Jet range for a medium sized saw - I wonder if there will be a new product to fill it.... Ed
