    Workshop Satisfaction

Mike, I'm with you on this one. The bench that i have just built must weigh at least 200lbs. I weighed he 5x4 ft 32mm mdf top, it weighed 47 lbs and there was two of them plus the lower workshelf. What I'm trying to say is an 8x4 x32 mm sheet of MDF is heavy!!! Then there is the 12 mm plywood...

    Quick peek around my Garage

Ok, here is a before picture of the garage not long after we moved in. The box in the foreground is the thicknesser. You can see a garden shredder on the right hand side, that soon got dumped into the potting shed. Here is another pic where I hadn't put a load of extension leads where I...

Barcelona, robbery, police, British Consul, immigration

Bad luck Steve. We went to Barcelona a couple of years back, so we researched lonely planet etc to see what we were gertting into. Honestly, my wife didn't want to go after reading all the horror stories about pickpockets and thieves. We had no trouble as it happened thankfully, but we were...

    Quick peek around my Garage

I've still got them Wizer, I'm still working out what goes best where. I think the mitre saw will stay where it is but I'll have to get castors or something so I can move it easily. the table that came with it folds in half and is a pain when you try to move it. I'm also thinking of try to...

    Quick peek around my Garage

Thanks for the replies everyone. Can't help keeping it clean, I think I've got OCD in the workshop. The little hoover is the most used thing :D . Rich, the spanner is a Bahco adjustable and that end is used as an open ended spanner up to 13mm. Unfortunately it is a freezer James :( . Phil

Doesn't Get Much Better Than This

I'm glad they did Wizer, half of it was spilt on floor trying to pour out of the two holes you had to make with a bottle opener. Heineken have introduced something far more sophisticated where you have a tap at the base. I think there is three liters in the can. I suppose this would make it...

    Axminster returns

I've never had a problem returning goods and if you bought from the net, I think you have the right to return if not suitable. This is certainly the case with Amazon, but I don't think it will come to that. Phil

    Axminster TS-200 Saw Bench

I'm happy with the mitre saw, I got it on offer with a free fine cut blade and stand. The only problem I find with it is that when you pull down to cut you get a bias to the left (if your right handed). The flooring is this stuff BB , I'd wait for it to go on sale again if I was you. It was...

Rutlands Dust Extraction - help please...!

I've just noticed they do them in 100mm . Why is Y a better design Wizer, I was going to add a T piece and insert a blast gate to the other machines I use. They will all sit on the bench so I only need one extension. Phil
