    Craftwork

I would have a look at all outlets before you commit too much effort- competing with mass production or chinese supplied items isn't much fun. The. Again, to list on eBay or Etsy probably won't cost anything much either, so no harm in trying. Have a look around, there will be a demand shortly...

More Parkside rubbish! This time, a cordless chainsaw that's actually an Einhell

My 2p worth: If you don't know whether you need it, I wouldn't bother. It isn't just the saw that clutters up the place, but you need some chain oil, a method of sharpening, decent PPE, and it all takes up space. If you find your current kit lacking, I would look at a silky saw for the...

    Painting aluminium table and chairs

I would have a look at the Bedec range. I think it is multi surface paint that you will need.

    Alan Peters Dining Chairs

Personal opinion, I think that the contrasting wood could look a bit dated. It is a fine line between wanting something that defines a period and something classical. Nobody would take an art deco piece and say "too contrasty" because they wanted it to capture the essence of that time. But this...

Are electric motorbikes a thing? The equivalent of sports bikes, in terms of performance rather than small scooter types.

Drum Sander diy pre build question.

As an alternative, could you make a drum which attaches to your lathe and adapt an adjustable table arrangement to fit on that? It would save the cost of bearings and a motor. I am just thinking out loud, I haven't got a particular design in mind.

Probably quicker to do a couple of extra passes than push it to its limits anyway.

    Bedac barn paint

my first thought was the matt. a soft sheen wouldn't be too bad, as long as it wasnt a gloss shine.

    Bedac barn paint

I am looking to use some of this, but the website is pretty dreadful, they dont do sample pots and it is hard work finding the information that I want! I want a dark grey, anthracite seems to fit the bill. they offer a satin and a matt, and I can find no comparison of the two. It is for fencing...

    Any recommendations for garden lights?

I got some Costco ones last year. The 2 that weren't stolen still work well, but I haven't seen them in stock yet this year. When they are I will be getting another pack. From memory they were about £40 for 8.

    Wood for my next project

what are the dimensions of the top? you may struggle to get a single board wide enough. you have a wide range of timber colours there- what would suit the rest of the furniture in the room? what is available locally, it can be very frustrating to try and track down a "common" species when there...

    Shaving brushes finishing

Depending on what your plans are, I would suggest using either a plastic or a resin stabilised blank on these. They are in a fairly unique environment, they will get wet in use, then sit in a humid environment. CA, or a thick lacquer may work but I wouldn't risk Danish oil. I did a couple- one...

    Thread to Taper Adapter

the mt2 wont work, because that is a long taper usually found inside the tailstock. I think this is a non starter. you could probably get something made but it is likely to be expensive.
