Securing the handle

Advice please on the best method or your method used to secure a turned handle to a turned lignum vitae mallet head.
Any input welcome please

Mine are glued.

I used a metal rod glued into both the head & handle with Araldite, posted a wip here

Just wedged for me. Leave the thick end of the wedge a bit proud at the top so there is room to thghten it up some more at a later date if required.
