    Cutting Curves in worktop

Just watch those down cut blades. They can really cause the jigsaw to kick upwards if not 100% concentrating. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Gold Mallet/Milk bottle Mallet

That's a good idea Mike. White would be fine at least as a temporary fix. Is the brittleness anything to be concerned about or is it just because of the thickness? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

    Gold Mallet/Milk bottle Mallet

The mallet looks really good Pete, Smart job !! I was having a tidy up yesterday and noticed this on the bottom of a part plastic container. It just seemed quite brittle to be the right stuff for mallet making. I could snap it into tiny pieces with minimal effort. I started collecting bottle...

    Milwaukee lazer measure

I use the same. It's always 1-1.5 mm short. I just cut everything a mm longer than what the screen says- It's a fantastic piece of kit. 300mm out suggests you must have a dud. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

flattening a slab what router bit??

Wowsers, so what's the appeal with them then ? It can't be speed if you're limited to 1-2mm per pass.....I'm genuinely intrigued now. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

flattening a slab what router bit??

I flattened a large tree slice using a sharpened 25mm flute bit. Do the 6 wing jobbies just make the job quicker (larger diameter) or do they leave a better finish as well? With the 25mm flute bit I wasn't really restricted for depth of cut- it'd quite happily remove 15mm high spots. Are the 6...

Apparently the Axminster books coming back !

I'm not sure what to make of the new catalogue tbh. I'm on page 246 and have only jotted down one thing I'd like. It's mostly all Axminsters own brand stuff. Maybe the last few pages will be more like the old catalogue Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

What diamond stone; and what do the codes stand for?

I bought the extra extra fine. At the moment its unusable. It seems much much coarser than my well used extra fine one. Apparently it takes a while to get to the desired grit. Ideally I need to give it to a site chippy for a few months cause I can't think of a use I could use it for, other than...
