    Stained stencil on bare wood

I have an old stencil set for making up posters etc on paper, and with that you use a short bristle stiff brush to dab very dry water colour paint though the stencil, could you do something like that then seal it in with a coat of polish /varnish?

The Star - will someone pls buy and restore this

Why would a line shaft driven bandsaw need a flywheel? it really does look to me like a hand cranked machine, after all you do have to keep the apprentice fit.

UKW boot/table sale Sept 7th, this Sunday!

Times are a passing only two weeks to go, so I thought I'd better start collecting together some bits for my table, photos to whet the appetite. And finally for now as has been said before the vacuum has to go----------as it's only gathering dust!

    spindle moulder question?

Does your spindle have a brake if so those pins are to stop the weight of the block unscrewing the top bolt when you turn the machine off, don't cut them.

Router table - what am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure what your problem is but trying to cut 18mm ply with a 1/4" cutter may well have a lot to do with it, 12 or15mm on a 1/2" shank would be much better.

    Adjustable cabinet legs?

Make sure that you get the right height, the ones that I use would do exactly what you want and they come in different sizes starting at 80mm up to 180mm I think. Give me a shout if you are stuck.

How can I reproduce this paint effect?

BugBear the lettering is about 25mm high. Some one just suggested painting with two or more coats of oil paint then over coating with water based paint whilst the last oil coat is still wet do you think that might work?

I just received this mail, now I know it's tosh because I don't have a on line store, but I can't see where the con bit comes in? amazing the efforts some people will go to to try and fool the hard working. Greeting Sales, We extend our kind interest to make purchase on some items in your...

    fire wood question

Well it really depends, what kind of wood, how big are the bits, and how it's been stored /weathered and then it will depend on what you want to make with it. If you are making Windsor chair legs then it's probably already to dry, if you're looking to turn large salad bowls then bring it in for...

    Spindle moulder cutter

I don't think that knife will fit a euro block, if that is the cutter you need either get the block to suit or phone Whitehills and ask them to make a pair to fit your euro block, I'm sure that they are doing that kind of thing every day.
