    Another mystery tool

That pic looks more like some sort of "machine" with two wheels - whereas the OP's pic of the tool is very obviously a hand tool?

    Another mystery tool

The tool, if used for the purpose I suggest, would be kept on a "rest" as it was heated (normally a gas flame) before being applied to the book's spine or cover . . . the wheel etc looks too delicate to me to be used on a lathe. EDIT UPDATE: See at about 1:23 he used an imprinted wheel...

    Another mystery tool

I think it might be a tool used by bookbinders for gold blocking/tooling on the spines of books - I can vaguely remember the bookbinder chap at the printers where I started work having similar tools with different patterns on the wheels - the thin gold leaf was postioned on the book spine and...

A garden project for my better half.

That's a LOT of timber! - looks good so far . . . are you going to lay an inch or two of gravel on the weed membrane to keep it in place if anything does try to grow through it? Looking forward to seeing the next stage.

Post a photo of the last thing you made

You'll be needing a supply of pallets to get making stuff ! . . . I've been making lots of stuff with pallets - from wine glass/bottle carriers through to rustic display stands for shops to display plants for sale. Low cost material and the process is highly therapeutic and enjoyable for me.

    Axminster switch for BS350 bandsaw

Absolutely - a chocblock connector as a temporary bypass and just use the switch on the wall socket to check it is the machine's switch that's the problem and not deeper into the works.

Planing to make my own table saw out of a circular one... what would make a good circular saw to use?

Just don't would be my strong advice. The safety issues are potentially overwhelming. You can buy a basic table saw for not much money, or the alternative track saw option to use on your new bench, again basic but adequate, for <£100.

    Axminster switch for BS350 bandsaw

You'll need to look at how the original switch is fitted to the machine - especially the screw/bolt spacing - for fixing the eplacement - but in essence yes any reasonable quality switch should work.

    Axminster switch for BS350 bandsaw

IIRC it's surface mounted so it should be possible to fit a modern NVR switch pretty easily - loads on ebay or Amazon (and Axminster sell them too - at a price!)

Yep - fencing pliers - I had a pair just the same (but new) bought with a load of fence posts and wire . . quite a while ago.

    Powerline BK1 Bandsaw

Can't answer the question - but it's probably worth looking at the downloadable instruction manual for a "hobby" bandsaw like the Axminster Craft 1400 model for the basics (the principles are very similar for blade fitting etc.) BUT if you're new to bandsaws then I'd get some help from someone...

    Marmite

I try not to use it and when I do the chap at the timber yard is very obliging in working to my cut-list to minimise the sawing I have to do - it's horses for courses, some stuff just doesn't warrant any cost higher than MDF (and that's not cheap nowadays) - same principles apply to chipboard.

    Workshop flooring

Yep - I have "studded" style interlocking plastic tiles - admittedly it's only about 2/3 of a garage and I got them for nothing when the bike shop I managed closed down - we had them in the workshop area and they worked well, with grease and other muck easy to clean - and non-slip with sawdust...

    OnBuy Woodworking Planing Table

More than a little odd in that the "breadcrumb trail" in the screenshot starts under Health & Beauty and goes via shavers!?!?! One to be avoided by the look of it.

    Routing Teacher in Southern England

I can recommend the Axminster 2 day course mentioned up-thread - I did it in January 2020 (back-to-back with the band-saw day) . . . Ax courses are suspended at the moment but hopefully they will return (I want to do the finishing techniques)

Whats the thoughts on this type of belt/disc sander

Yep - useful machine BUT I think a machine with this configuation will take less bench space (and it may be me but I very seldom use the belt in the vertical position) https://www.toolstation.com/scheppach-bts800-370w-150mm-belt-disc-sander/p11070 This machine is also badge-engineered . . ...

Decent casters for mitre saw cabinet

Screwfix has a range which I've used for my mobile machinery - the ones with the blue tyres seem best - swivel/non-swivel/braked/non-braked

    Redex

I can remember my father "treating" the car with Redex - must have been a Ford Consul in about 1958 - running it immediately after treatment and it emitted clouds and clouds of white smoke. No idea what the treatment did, or why?
