    Planer blades Appleby Woodturnings

I needed to buy new blades for my old Kity pt 535 and having searched around on the internet as you do I placed an order for only 1 pair from the above company. They arrived on time and were better quality than I had expected for the price. With my order they sent a copy of their catalogue and...

    Saw Blades

I've just been through this process of buying new blades and I have to say that having purchased a Freud blade for my table saw that was recommended on this forum I was a bit underwhelmed. Both Screwfix and Toolstation list it as a general purpose blade but when it arrived it was a zero rake...

    Featherboards with the tablesaw

I thought that MrTeroo was having a go at me for minute but it seems you have upset a few people I know nothing about that. Back to your question there are many things we would need to know inorder to give a sensible reply. If you have a high end saw with a precision long fence I suppose if it...

    Featherboards with the tablesaw

There are so many different types of cuts that we all make on our table saws that inorder to answer your question we need more information about the issue you are trying to resolve. There are many experts on this forum and I don't claim to be one of them but I am supprised that none of them have...

    Featherboards with the tablesaw

I will be quite happy to explain but it will need to be over the weekend. The push stick that you have shown only protects you from pushing your fingers into the blade but does nothing to protect you from the biggest risk once the wood has passed the centre point of the blade.

    Featherboards with the tablesaw

I've had a count up this afternoon and I have 9 different push sticks all for different types of cuts. The type you have shown is about the worst you could have and my opinion fitting feather boards to a table saw to try and compensate for a bad push stick would just make a bad situation even worse.

    Bog oak treasure trove.

All I did was try and answer the bloke's question, I did not expect to be told I must have had a bad day and having problems with what he was trying to do that without question many of you are looking forward to. Some time back I had a large amount of industrial shelving I wanted to get rid of...

I guess that if you read the rules you would understand.

    Accurate angles

Thanks for all that advice but it is not me who has the problem and this is not my first week of woodworking. Possibly you would need to know if the op actually owns a hand plane to know if your solution is of any help.

    Accurate angles

So did you make your own shooting board and if so how would you have done it with the tools you had that you were unable to make accurate cuts with. To help the op would need advice on getting the best from the tools at hand and then how to progress from there.

    Accurate angles

Without a lot more information from the op about the difficulty they are having I am amazed how many of you have come up with a solution. just for the record I have what seems to be the exact same mitre saw as the op and with a sharp blade and careful set up it can provide perfect results.

    Accurate angles

Strange that the op has not come back to this thread when the solution could be as simple as a small length of tape and a sharp blade.

    table saw fence question

I following advice from this forum purchased a fru blade for my table saw. It was easy to purchase from Toolstation or Screwfix both listed the blade of the size I needed and both stated it was a universal blade but when it arrived it clearly was just a cross cut blade. I have given up trying to...

    table saw fence question

At last a sensible question and then a possible solution to a simple question.

    table saw fence question

To cut a box 12 X 6 inches you do not need push sticks as you will loose the accuracy as you have found out.

    table saw fence question

It seems to me that everyone has come up with solutions but nobody has asked the most basic questions. What are you cutting, how thick is it and are you ripping or cross cutting. Personally I think that a 60 tooth blade may be the root cause of your problems and you say that you are mainly...
