Woodwork, N Ireland and Moving Workshop !

Provided each machine can be lifted by two men it should be fine to go with your normal household contents. This does mean you have to strip down anything like a table saw (assuming its Sheppach) so that you take off the sliding table, the table extrusion, the right hand folding table, etc etc...

    wheels ??

I needed some wheels for a stand, and looked at Axminster, Rutlands but in the end opted for those from screwfix. Can't remember, but probably price. The wheels are excellent quality. Adam

    Selling off my workshop!

Thats fine, although please just have a read of the forum rules, and edit your message above and change the title to "For Sale........" Very sorry to hear your news, I hope you are back up and running as soon as possible. As you say, trying to keep a "mini-workshop" going could well be worth a...

    Extendable sliding table fence?

I think all the scheppach saws have them - certainly the TS2500 does. Its certainly come in useful for me several times. All spares in the UK come through NMA, but you may be able to purchase one direct. Adam

Does a woodrat do dovetails as well as a Leigh jig

Interestingly, I mostly do cut my dovetails by hand, but still find that the 'rat more than justifies its place in my workshop. Its all the other stuff it does that makes it so valuble to me. Tims right though, its not neccasarily intuitive or suited to a fast production evironment, and based on...

Does a woodrat do dovetails as well as a Leigh jig

I think the answer is yes, but I don't think they are really comparable. I think of the Leigh as a high speed dovetail jointing system. I think of my woodrat as an upturned router table that can do some neat tricks. One of the joints it cuts is dovetails, but the limit is endless. Each time I'm...

    Of interest to WoodRat owners

No, you can take a part cut one side, hop the router over, and take a full cut through from the opposite side. This can also be done on the Leigh, and possibly other dovetails jigs. Adam

    Paslode gun faulty - Update

I fixed one like this about 2 years ago, and I'm trying to remember the fault. Definately don't rely on gas new out of a box, it must be within date as well. Do you have a second gun? I remember that I did the fix by swopping the circuits over until I swopped the problem into the second gun...

    Costing a job/project out

Welcome to the forum. The question you ask in part, has been discussed quite a few times before. Its well worth having a look at the "search" button and trying a few different terms out. Things like professional payment pay cost costing price pricing etc etc Should throw up some juicy...
