Joining into the edge of 12mm ply

Matching slots in board and in the feet? Someone earlier mentioned a little box for the base - that sounds very sturdy. Or two boards joined together like an A-frame? Means two pieces of ply, but should be simple enough to make really well - as long as you have something that locks it open and...

    Second workbench.

That's a decent sized bench you've built there. Nice workshop starting to take shape Brian. How did you chop out the wood for the joints?

Electromagnet Bench Attachment A-Level Idea - NEED OPINIONS!

+1 for the safety aspect. If you trip a circuit breaker during a session with a bench grinder / belt sander / chopsaw and the magnet fails that would be an extremely dangerous situation especially if the tool takes a few seconds to slow down and stop while it is no longer fixed in place! If you...

    It’s the simple things

Nice job. All those 'little' details soon add up and you have a clear space to work and a five minute job is just a five minute job instead of an hour looking for everything you need.

    My first thing...

I don't know much about scrollsaws, but 7tpi does seem a little coarse. It's not a bad attempt for straight of the box - first time cutting with a coarse blade. Try the same piece again and see if your technique improves. I have seen practice sheets on line with lines and curves and spirals to...

Live Edges and both ends aren’t square

Just to be clear - do you want to keep both live edges (eg a coffee table) or just one live edge (eg a shelf that sits flat to the wall on one side) I would have though a line of best fir down the middle with a long straight edge and then square off each end from that line.

    First attempt at an egg

Looks good - was is frustrating to turn or a good experience? There is a a dead straight line through it - was the bed post wood laminated out of smaller pieces?

    A bit of a puff

That's ingenious. And you're forgiven for wrecking the old blowlamp! They must be a lethal tool these days with faulty seals.

    folding workbench

+1 for torsion box style design. I made a couple with 9mm ply recently 18mm battens glued in between - very basic but completely rigid and lightweight for 1.3m x 0.60m

    Efficiency of finding Allen keys

Maybe racks with the extra small fine ones ( that you don't use so often) separate and out of the way. Some get removed and taken off to regularly adjust certain tools - maybe a little write on strip to say 3mm - with the pocket hole jointer, 5mm by the drill press sort of thing. Do you mean...

    xmas presents for youngsters

There are lots of simple stands for i-phones and tablets. Nice designs that hold them at a good reading angle, cable concealed and slots for other things. Would pack down small and get genuine use when they return back home.

    xmas presents for youngsters

Pencil case? A lot of kids love all the Smiggle stationery shops, small enough to put in a bag to go back home.

Building the Matthias Wandell 20" Big Bandsaw

That frame looks impressive. Have you found a motor to drive it all yet?

    Bluetooth tools whatever next!

"either of which could be used to start the arsewashing process" That made me smile with my morning coffee! Next will be an app with voices by actors from movies - just like the different sat nav voice. You could have Sean Connery, Harrison Ford or Emma Watson shouting out "start the arse...

    Bargain

With a Swedish mother and Danish father, Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm shows her Nordic roots in her designs through a minimalistic approach and strong combinations of materials like wood, leather and wool I'd hate to see how much she charges when she uses three materials and not just wood!

    Boxes

That's a really unusual design - haven't seen anything like that before
