Just going through all the bits I found in the drawer and thought what can I do with this?

    Twister FU-180

I think the AP406WL is the same as the FU 200 which wasn't sold in the UK at the time I bought the 180. Simon should be able to clarify.

    Twister FU-180

I've had a Twister FU180 for about 4 years now and can heartily recommend it. I bought mine from Simon Hope and delivery was trouble free from Germany. That said, it is pretty much the same as the Axminster one (AP406WL I think) so take your pick. Mine is with the legs which are really solid...

Sawing / cutting turned wood on a lathe

Assuming your object is safely held in a chuck I would advise that you use a parting tool to obtain a parallel slice which you can finish with a saw once you approach the centre of the object if you prefer. Plenty of vids on YT i.e.

Back in the mancave on the lathe after a long absence following my op. Just playing with all the bits I have on the shelf. Someone asked me if I could do some salt and pepper mills and I had a bit of locally sourced maple which turned nicely with some lovely figure in it. Very satisfying.

Just measured mine with a vernier and mine is 2mm more on each dimension i.e. 114, 86, 64, and 46.

    Stepped chuck jaws

I'm slightly baffled as well. I just bought some Nova 25mm bowl jaws and the accompanying paperwork is the same as yours. One point to note, Record jaws have a parrot beak grip on the compression side whereas the Nova jaws I just purchased have a straight grip inside, not even a dovetail...

Who measures wood in litres??? Maybe Kingwood? Or Camelthorn?

    Stepped chuck jaws

I use both Record SC4 and Nova chucks and the jaws are interchangeable.

    epoxy resin help

I've just used some EH50 (now called EH125) on a deep pour and no problems at all despite being a bit old. 3 days in pressure pot and temp between 15 to 20 C. Swindon composite reckon 20C is good for a cure according to their blurb. You say you heated the resin before mixing but did you allow...
