I have a big one and access to a bench one. Much prefer my big one. A bench one would be ok for tenons up to 1/2 but for bigger stuff gates etc when a big one with its Cross slide makes it much more versatile machine.

That's such a poor example! A typical paid carer will visit 16-20 people within a 3mile radius and have to get between them will little travel time! Imagine that on public transport - your having a laugh! Not to mention district nurses tradesmen etc!!
