    Trim router recommendation

I bought the Katsu. Seems well made but it vibrates quite a bit. I replaced it with the cheap Trend router. Not so compact but much smoother.

The repair side is a fly in Tesla’s Ointment because they don’t have dealerships like legacy auto manufacturers. This is an opportunity for companies like Volkswagen and Toyota though, if they seize the moment. From what I’ve read, over 90% of “battery replacements” could easily be repaired...

If electrified rails are such a problem it surprises me they use them at all? Parts of the London Underground have been electrified since 1890. I’m aware of Maglev but suspect it’s far more expensive than ordinary electrification.

Some very good points there. 😉 You can also add in no car crime and perhaps even less crime in general if, let’s call them Autocabs, have several cameras fitted etc.

The ban on the sale of new ICE cars is *11 years away. And you’ll still be able to buy second hand ones after that. As I remember, when the date of 2040 for a potential ban was announced, some motor manufacturers complained it was too far off. It was brought forward initially to 2035? But this...

    Rip off Britain?

There are “book” times for car repairs. Main dealers have their own book of times for each job but there are also independent volumes for other garages. When I was a Mechanic we were paid a basic hourly rate plus the book time for any jobs done. If you could quickly you could earn more money...

    Rip off Britain?

I was told many years ago, and I admit I’m not sure of the validity, but the £600 circuit boards required for Gas Boiler repairs were made in China for about 65p? A mate has just told me the Garage has repaired his Toyota’s faulty cruise control. They replaced a camera near the rear view mirror...

I read many years ago that Henry Ford initially never intended his cars to run on Petrol, he thought Ethanol was a better choice?

Good point. It’s also easy to forget all the objections made against the motor car when they first came out. And all those that complain about lack of chargers etc also forget that it took 25 years for the first petrol station to open in England. Up until that point you had to buy petrol in two...

Could not Autonomous transport on-demand work in all areas? Once available they should be much cheaper than a minicab. I’ve known several people without a car over the years that would have benefited from something like this. Not quite here yet but perhaps on the way...
