@Jacob I agree with most of what you say, I personally think that politics in both the USA and the UK has become far too polarised with both sides losing / lost credibility in the eyes of the electorate. Like the UK, the USA was faced with voting for the terrible or the awful. Not a lot to chose...
@Blackswanwood The first that’s widely published and extremely easy to check is New York where supermarket deserts are a real issue and state funding of circa $10 million has been initiated to try and help resolve the problem of people not having access to food. The deserts have been created by...
Thanks Noel, your insights are always welcome. So, perhaps you would do me the curtersey of actually highlighting anything you feel is incorrect rather than just carrying out a character assassination? The role of a moderator has been over stepped by your post.
The Palestinians, you mean the people who elected Hamas? You mean the people who actively support the Terrorists regime? The people who praised the invasion of Isreal? The people (not Hamas) who defiled the body of a dead female Israeli? I know, the come back is usually that Hamas would kill any...
I find it very intriguing, a clearly right wing president elect creates such strong emotions amounts the left, we hear of Armageddon, the end of life as we know it. Yet, this has occurred within a democratic society where people were free to vote for whomever they wanted without fear or...
@RobinBHM i have said whether you agree or disagree, he has ideas or political slogans that were popular with the American voters.
Roe versus Wade was reversed by the Supreme Court, not a political party.
Abortion is a very sensitive subject with heated debates and each side taking no prisoners...
I don’t believe either side, Democrats or Republicans didn’t accept or recognise the issues that I’ve suggested plus a number of others. It was just that one was more forthcoming and articulate with its proposed solutions than the other.
Wow, you’ve probably hit on the most debated issues, ones which I suspect most people can say what his view is on each of them.
Immigration, after decrying Trump wanting to and actually building a wall in his first term, the democrats decided towards the end that a wall was a good idea after...
Sorry if this seems rude, but looking up USA economic data, reports, statistics is a very simple, google will take you straight there, and then chose what your interested in. Their reports tend to be very very long!
Nothing expresses the actual reality better than humour. I reminded of the episode if Yes Prime Minister where a new archbishop was to be selected.
It always seems hypocritical to have a say the Church or England and the Catholic church’s rolling in billions whilst preaching about helping the...
The BBC lost its integrity to call itself a news channel many years ago. I prefer to refer to the USA government statistics created whilst the Democrats were in power. You can’t real suggest a right wing bias when the numbers are created whilst the left have the top jobs!
American has some serious issues, unprecedented illegal invasion from the south, eye watering national debt, lose of manufacturing overseas, and its NATO partners in the main (UK being an exception) not paying its fair share / committed level of expenditure to defend its boarders and relying on...
Actions speak louder than words, and love him or hate him, one thing you can’t deny is that America was a more prosperous place under his first term than either of the Democrats presidents achieved before or after him. He did what he said, and if not achieving everything he promised he at least...
@HOJ My comment about don’t mention the spindle cutter guy was tongue in cheek! He is brilliant and very good prices. Brigg my go to guy for custom cutters.

I’d pass on that. Look out for Whitehill, Omas, CMT, Steil, Kwo, Wadkin, Trend, Wealden, Axminister blocks, you won’t go too far wrong. The first four are in my opinion the better blocks, usually with prices to match🤪
The Whitehill block linked in the original post will take any 55mm scribes and I think 40mm Euro blocks because the pins are the same width.
A dedicated tenoner block / disc usually takes 30mm cutters. You can use a rebate block for tenons not scribed but you are limited to depth unless using a...
Well, no! A single block won’t cover all those requirements….if only😂😂
I’d look on auction sites, blocks are always coming up. You can use top hat reduces to enable 1 1/4” blocks to ge used in a 30mm spindle. They are often much cheaper than 30mm blocks.
A suggested rebate...
I wonder if I’m the only one that remembers the film ‘The life of Brian’ and wonders how we now have ended up reenacting it in reality?
Brian: played by Greta Thumberg
Judean Peoples Front: / Peoples front of Judea: played by……well, no shortage of actors politicians or certain UKW contributor's...
