    UJK Router Lift

Muscle Chuck is the best we have used, just make sure you follow the fitting instructions as shown in this video. You can fit and test by sound if you don't have any engineering equipment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_cont ... HZqZtExnHU Cheers Peter

WHAT IS THE BEST ROUTER TABLE.

JessEm invented the router lift and used to have a chain driven one, they also used to make lifts for Axminster. JessEm have improved the lifts and in my opinion are the best on the Market, no longer chain driven. JessEm also make the lifts for Incra who I think have the best insert rings...

Another Ironmongers shop closing after 87 years trading

Very sad to see another retailer disappear, I am sure it will be a loss to the local community.

    Bandsaw set up.

I met up with Alex last month in Atlanta and watched him cut a couple of his famous reindeer for our girls (very impressive) . We had a quick chat and I took a look at the Carter products, the stabilizer is very good for really small stuff and very narrow blades. The set ups I have seen Alex...

    Cascamite - New User

What brand of "Cascamite" have you used some are better than others. I would also check the date it could be old. The data sheet I have contradicts it's self at one point it says 12 months shelf life and another 24. In my experience 24 months should be fine but if the damp has been allowed into...

Quangsheng vs Wood River (Jointer and Jack Plane):

As I understand it this was a Rob Cosman design developed with Woodriver for their V3 but I could be mistaken.... A clear improvement and the best Y lever I have used with very little backlash and continuous contact with the chip breaker slot. Cheers Peter

Quangsheng vs Wood River (Jointer and Jack Plane):

Knowing where tools are made is a confusing situation for many buyers in the international market we live in, and is very difficult if not impossible to answer, unless you have insider knowledge on the ground, which I don’t believe any of us do have. For example tools that are made in Sheffield...

Mortice & tenon - mixed machines and GUARDED

Hi Steve always good to see how others work, I might suggest you turn your mortice chisel round by 90 degrees . It's common practice to use the open window into the open mortice to help the chips clear. It usually keeps the chisel lasting longer. Cheers Peter
