    I would use expanded polystyrene or kingspan board cut for a friction fit between timbers with a vapour barrier say visqueen then osb sheet this will be perminent and not disturbed by any proposed roofing work. The door well you will have to get creative to stop the drafts with say brush type...

    I think the key here is voltage withstand the telephone cable will not stand 240 volts but it is separated by conduit which will withstand it so all is well. Telephone cable is manufactured to deal with induction from AC by using twisted pairs for the circuits .

    Its difficult to see but is the side guides just under the gullet of the blade and supporting it to max effect there is lots of adjustment available once the blade is centred on the wheels position the guides then set the back guides if this is not set up the blade will twist and wander.

    Frame and hammer fixings - any info?

    I think you treat the hammer fixing as a nail so its hard to remove but the frame fixing is screwed in so can be removed and plastic sleave cut to remove frame.

    The terminals on the switches are large enough to take 25sqmm which is used for meter tails.

    Yes. i feed my shop with 2x 2.5mm t&e cable as i got machinery i added the extra cable.They are between the two distribution boards so share the feed current.

    I expect you have a drum of cable so if you have volt drop problems make the feed into a ring so thats two cables at the feed end, each feed the current will be shared so its like a 2sq mm feed.

    I have freeview but had to have a adjustable 4 way mast head amplifier fitted to distribute it around the house it all works fine we are on the edge of transmissions areas and have scots pine trees near to our ariel. The installer tests the ariel for time outs on various channels to check...
