Hi All

This one I call the Catcher's Mitt as it kind of looks like one.

I think the wood is Birch but not sure.

This was from the top of the branch with several branches coming off. The outside was turned on a screw chuck then a glue chuck used to turn the inside.

Again I left this chucky as I thought this fitted in with the piece. The finish was Boiled Linseed Oil mixed with Acetone. The edges were sands on my sanding disk slightly rounding some of them tops to keep with the form.

Hi Mark

You wanted to keep it chunky so you have achieved the result you were after. For me this is in keeping with the wood. Nice organic piece.

you sasanachs are all the same :p

Chas, smack his hand and stop his doly mixtures for a week for introducing an 'off topic' comment :D
