As I have to be in and out of the house for the next week at least, my plans to watch all the matches on TV has gone out the window. So is there anyway I can watch the matches over the internet for free?

TIA

Cheers

Mike

Absolutely Mike - BBC and ITV are streaming all their games for free on their websites, the quality is excellent.

I watched the opening game yesterday and the quality was superb, as was the Korean game today

I've got a wireless network setup in the lab at work, and i'll be taking the laptop to watch all the games, the quality is surpisingly excellent.

Mike,

to watch games that are NOT on BBC/ITV streaming you could try:

http://www.myp2p.eu/

the quality depends largely on your broadband speed and processor speed, but this site is has a very comprehensive list of games, including all the Premiership and European league matches during the season. All free.

You will need to install various display software - all available free on the site.

Thanks Dave that's great.

Colin, what Dave is talking about is premiership games which sky usually nick

Now I'm going to watch England win, I hope [-o<

Cheers

Just remember folks to watch LIVE tv on a computer you need a tv licence. If you use a works machine it might not be covered.

You ain't one of those bleeding detector van men are you

Only joking mate. When I looking for somewhere to watch the games away from home, and before I placed the post I did come across an article which said the same as you. You would think that just for once the goverment would give us a break

Cheers

I appreciate the reminder.

I pay my license at home (grudgingly), there's no way I'm paying the leaches a penny more, I think they should make the BBC as a subscription service. To try and claim license fee's for watching streaming TV (and not necessarily a BBC services) is a bit of cheek imvho.

Mike - I wouldn't really worry about it, no one is going to come after you for watching a football game on your computer.

I remember a case a few years ago where the bloke could prove that he could not receive any BBC programing and the court still fined him for not having a tv licence, you just cannot win

Thanks Colin.

Cheers

That's because its a tv receiving licence not a BBC receiving licence. I don't think they would bother with individuals but going after companies who let their employees watch live tv on works computers could be profitable.

I use http://www.tvcatchup.com - it live streams most of the channels available on Freeview including, sky sports news.
You've got to sign up to use it (which is free) and I've been using it for ages now with no problem :D
