All the walls are cavity the left side (west) houses a sink, washing machine, dryer, freezer etc. It also houses my storage cupboards

My storage cupboards for glue, paints, finishes, screws, fastners, dowels, biscuits etc.

My first thoughts of a reply were "The bench is so heavy I can't move it"

On a more serious note, I find the easier it is to grab a tool the bench soon gets buried in tools and prone to getting knock off the bench so unless I really need a certain tool i'm not tempted to just reach out for it, as I tend to get lazy during a project and don't put anything back until I cant find what I've just put down usually at that point I have to clear up so I know where it will be. It may not be how others work but it works for me. Another reason is the wall all the planes are on is an internal wall so there is no danger at all from damp & rust.

 Jealous... Me?? Nah...

Lovely shop LN. Is it always that tidy?

Very nice, LN. I also use my double garage but have to house the push bikes and gardening gear so it all gets a bit cluttered sometimes. It certainly looks like you've got yourself organised there!

Cheers Ted
