When I built my workshop I put a sink in the corner and installed a Strom tap from Screwfix. I was never very happy with it, it was either on or off and when it was hot it was scalding.

A few weeks ago it packed up entirely so I wasn't sorry to see it go. I've installed a replacement:

I'm really pleased with it. I can adjust the flow to adjust the temperature, there is a digital readout and I can get it to be as hot as I can handle for washing my hands in a very tolerably short while. Plus, it was about 1/3 the price of the Strom. Win-win.

The only downside is that it came with an Australian plug and instructions that were only in Chinese!

Wow! It must be supplied with a seriously long lead.

Boom-boom. I never saw them coming :)

On a similarly predictable note, a local pub had a bonfire event and hired Portaloos. They have been stolen. Police say they have nothing...

The theft, sadly, is true. Some people will steal anything.
I ❤️ Kirkby.
