My garage has a raw concrete floor that is pretty lumpy. Hard to get castors to run or machines fully level.
What do folk use for flooring? Are those garage jigsaw mats any good? Poured vinyl? What?

Depends how bumpy - if it is really uneven, you'll need a self levelling compound, (which does kinda self level, but needs to be installed with care). If its just slightly rough concrete, you may get away with jigsaw tiles - I just installed some in the kids judo club gym and although the equipment isn't anything like as heavy (and the floor was level beforehand), it gives a good surface.

I used latex based self levelling from Travis Perkins 8 years ago - its a rock solid solution. Then painted over with a smooth industrial floor paint. BTW don't be misled, it may say latex based but its as hard as concrete.

BUT
- its not especially cheap
- you have to move seriously fast when working a large area like a garage. Best with two people; one mixing on laying it.
- worth having a rake or roller frame on a stick to encourage it to level
- Don't do it on a hot day
- Do add a little more water than they recommend
- Do have a 'dam' by the entrance, it is very liquid
- Do seal the floor with a pva mixture prior to application
- Do buy a mixer for your drill to speed it up, you'll need all the working time you can get.

I did some rough flattening with a diamond wheel on my angle grinder, then laid plastic Interlocking tiles over the lot. It's brilliant

I laid a plastic sheet (membrane) then some 2” x 1” tile battens at 18” centres onto the concrete then ¾” thick shuttering ply in my small garage workshop. Been down for years and works a treat.

I used that moisture resistant chipboard meant for lofts to level a floor, it interlocks and makes the floor nice to move machines on
