Just got a call back from the college, turns out they're booked up until April. Not sure if it's worth it at all now, since after 3 months, I'd hope I've learned enough to not need a basic carpentry and joinery course.

Also, whatever I need to do to get experience to be able to make it into a career, I'm willing to do. Just a shame I have so many bills to pay otherwise I'd head in full ball.

Mens shed is a good idea - the local one here is very active and there are some deeply experienced folk there.
