hmmm an interseting subject, well went and did the deed :D.
Left Amsterdam for a remote corner in NW Germany, a small place called East Friesland.
My commute in Amjam was by bike 45 minutes or by car 30mins.
Now I get out of bed, fall down stairs and I am in my workshop - how's that for a commute :p
The proper workshop, won't be ready for at least 3 years, so I am using what will be my dining room.

On another note, is there anyone here who has coppiced HAZEL ?

Sitting in a cooler living room in a very hot part of Germany

houtslager,
I have a colleague who lives on Dartmoor who has a boundary hedge in hazel. Do you have a specific question you would like to ask?

I stopped defining "success" according to what I do for a living and measure myself by what I do and contribute outside of work.

For example, is a good dad one that brings lots of money through the door or one that provides a solid and secure enviroment in which to bring up ones child? Not mutually exclusive, but it helps balance the intrusion of work in pursuit of money at the expense of the more important things.

Devonwoody - I would second that :D I didn't manage it in my early fifties (regretably) but I made darn certain I did well before sixty.
