Hello all please can I have a quick bit of advice
I am ready to bue some 4mm WBP ply so I can laminate it together in a curves shape and finish it with cherry, but last time I brought ply form my local builders merchants it had the tell tell signs of woodworm, should I; treat it and hope I get it all, not except the ply, or something else?
many thanks

If by 'signs of woodworm' you mean small flight holes then I wouldn't worry unless it is excessive. They are made when the grown insect leaves the wood, not as an entry hole as is the common misconception. What it will leave is voids in the panel so I'd avoid using it for that reason if there is a lot of it.

What size panels are you making and where will it be used? - you could use 3mm mdf which you can get in smaller panels from Wickes or B&Q.

Many thanks, the wood did have the a few small flight holes, so I have no idea how many more flies could be left in the wood? I am making a pair of hi-fi speakers so will be indoors. I don’t like MDF because of the health problems associated with it and the hugh amount of energy used to make the it. Admittedly there are also problems with ply but as long as I get FSC stamped stuff I feel I have done as much as I can.

I got a rather nasty shock when a bevvy of the blighters ran away from a bending form made from Jewson ply when I heated it. (Hey, even they advertise the name as mild profanity)
The forms which were small enough got baked in the oven for a few hours, everything else got binned sharpish.
