Just a heads up for you couch potatoes

Boyz in the Wood (eww), Cutting Edge Woodworker and (fan fare) The Great British Workshop are being shown on RTX (Sky 252) all day this coming Sunday.

I have Sky plussed the lot as i'll be needed some interesting entertainment in the coming weeks.

I have said it before, I just don't understand Real Time's broadcasting plan. Why flood the channels with one type of show for a whole day or weekend and then nothing again for months? Grr

Saying that, John's Workshop is on 5:30am this week and next on Real Time and NYW (repeats) from next week .

Happy Viewing

Hello WIZeR,
Thanks for information regarding woody programs on Sky. I have resigned with Mr.Murdock and couldn't believe the lack of woody progs. Please explain to an ignorant old bugger how to find listings of forthcoming programs, they are never mentioned in my daily newspaper.
Regards,
Gower

Thanks for the info wizer.

Knowing that you are an IT man, why have you not fitted up a web cam in your workshop and we could watch woodwork 24/7?

:-k That would require me to erm actually do some woodworking?

Sorry to be a damp squib fellas...... but I bet the shows are all repeats?

I just can't understand why they don't show the latest New Yankee Workshop programmes, apparently we are a couple of series behind our friends in America.

They could even go back and show the early shows isn't there something like 20 years worth?

Now that would be something to watch and record.

Tony.

Yes - they are all repeats. :( And yes, the current series of Norm in the US is the 20th. :norm: Until fairly recently they did show all of the series except for 5, 6 and 8 and two double episodes from series 7 - hopefully they will go back to doing this again and also include series 18, 19 and 20.

Perhaps I should write to discovery channel and suggest they show all the NYW shows from the very beginning to number 20.

Perhaps they could do two a week, repeated at various times during the day. Say there is 10 progs to a series , by my reckoning thats two years worth of entertainment!

At the end they could start again, and by the end of that there would have been another 4 series to add on, 20 more weeks of fun filled TV.

Much better than repeating the same old stuff.... which drives me :x

Sorry to moan. Tony.

Others have been trying this over the last couple of years and only get general acknowledgement replies but no details or promises about what is planned. ](*,)

And cutting edge woodworker has been on every day too - beforee John's workshop.

I thing Discovery have given us quite a reasonable amount of woodworking TV lately with 3 shows on during the week
