Off to the Lakes tomorrow (24th). Anyone know of any good galleries/workshops/shops for spinney things in the area? Staying near Windermere but can travel wherever.

Had a look with gooogle but found not much of interest.

I was up there a couple of weeks ago and went into the Grizedale forest centre there is a good display of turned work by Alan Perkins, well worth a visit.

I was only there for 1 day so didnt find anything else.

The Alpaca Centre usually have quite a bit in upstairs. A lot by Tracy Owen, some of which you may have seen in the magazine. It's at the Northern end of Ulswater and the drive over the pass from Windermere and along the lake is one of my favourites.
G&S timber is next door. They sell tools and timber
