I'm helping out a guy in the US who has developed quite a neat drawing/design package for the Mac. http://www.gizmolab.com/software/ if you are interested. He has a library of American lumber and I rashly (!) offered to provide him with a list of UK metric timber sizes.

I've looked on the web but can't find anything. I know that 50x50 PAR comes out at nearer 45x45 but short of going down to the timber merchants and measuring them all...... does anyone know of such a list?

The SL Harwoods site lists boards from 22mm to 150mm thick and 22mm to several hundredd mm wide. I had a problem with the link too. Go to their main page and look up boards. That should work.

This site gives the nominal sizes. As you know 50x50 PAR actually comes out at nearer 45x45 and from a drawing package perspective it's these figures that I'm after unfortunately.
