We have a multi fuel stove in the lounge but it just doesn't seem worth bothering to collect up lots of offcuts and carry them down to the house, when they will hardly make any difference to the room temperature. In the shed though I thought it would be so easy. Just toss in bits of wood on site, and go from freezing to bearable with no cost incurred, plus dispose of annoying bits of wood in the process. Win win scenario. Still need to insulate though - priority for next year. Seriously thinking of just installing it myself and not telling the authorities. I wonder if the neighbours would tell on me.

Possibly, especially if they thought that if your shed caught fire it might put some of their property at risk. There's also smoke coming out of the chimney, which they may object to. They may inform for none of those reasons, just that they don't like the look of you. Anythings possible, that's what neighbours are for!

His we had a multi fuel stove fitted in Lincolnshire expensive don't come into it £1500.00 for half a day to fit it and that was the cheapest , and not even decent a good job I could have done it myself but we have a parish counselor across the road so have to be careful what we do because he is a nosey bugger ,
Nothing to fitting a stove just getting it passed is the problem.
