Hi to all. I am getting a Wilmac bandsaw No1070 and I was wondering if anyone could advise me where I can can get spare parts and blades.
I look forward to your replies. Cheers P.

Hi P,

Welcome to the forum. :D

I have no idea where you will get parts but blades are easy, you need to talk to Dragon. Lots of us have used them and will again. A quick search on the forum will turn up details.

Hi Dave thanks for the reply willl look for dragon.
p11dom, the saw is frae Scotland, purchased here many years ago. It hasn't been used for a long time. I've kind of inherited it and am hoping tae bring it back to life again. Cheers Paul

Didn't buy it in Scotland did you?

Hi Dom,
I still have the Wilmac saw I bought from you...not had a lot of time to do much with it other than to get a couple of blades from Dragon. It runs pretty well but the electrics need a little work. I have bought a NVR switch but not fitted it yet. I did get as far as building a stand on locking castors because it is such a heavy beast to move around the workshop. My main problem is that because I don't have a lot of experience with bandsaws, I have trouble getting the blade tension right and the saw has no tension scale.

Paul, I don't know if you'll have any luck getting specific Wilmac spares because yours is the only other one I've heard of (not sure if mine has a model No. and it's too cold and dark to go out and look). Is yours a bench top model? I'd be keen to know how you get on with the saw and I'm more than happy to share my experiences with the Wilmac, such as they are.

Hi George, it is a free standing model. Hopefully I'll get it going. Will let you know how things pan out. Cheers Paul
