Wickes 10" bandsaw

Has anyone any information on the above ( Wickes 10" ) bandsaw.
Manuals, problems, fixes etc ?

Hi Don hope it is warmer for you down in Fife than it is up in the Highlands today. I think the Wickes bandsaw is sinular to some of the 10" Delta bandsaw these might be "badged and if you can find one that looks the same the manual with a bit of luck might be the same too.

Thanks chaps,
One of our members was going to donate one of theses machines to our Men's Shed as he said it was no longer suitable for his use as the top blade guide was twisted ? I suggested we had a look before he bought a replacement. I haven't seen the machine so I don't know what it is like apart from the fact it is a 3 wheel machine.
@Malcolm, no problem as such but I have seen them advertised on fleabay usually with the caveat 'needs a new blade'. I suppose I should find a spare part supplier first ?
@bigbob1, it has warmed up a bit in this brilliant sunshine today. Almost 4 degrees in the car when we went shopping. Nearly had my vest off and sunbathed. lol

Hi Don, never had a three wheeler, but there have been several comments that if you want to buy a bandsaw, don't go for the three wheelers as they are very old and may cause more problems that they are worth. However, as a gift for the shed, if it can be put right, it will give the shed members something new to have a go with. Hope someone can help you out.

if you do get a new blade and use tuffsaws, tell him it is a 3 wheeler- i recall that there is a particular blade that is more suited to these machines.

Hi Don,

Was at our local Mens shed in Inverness yesterday they do have a 10" BS but not the same as the Wickes one but I think I have fouind exactly what you need in the US this was sold by Delta as the model 28-160 below is the link to the full Manual:-
