Why bother with Anant and other low cost brands?

Talking terminology or TLAs, and, in real life I often see FUBAR written on flightcases, in fact I often write FUBAR on flight cases- particularly while frustrated (if that's the right word) on site, and I have seen the odd PO with SNAFU penciled in at the bottom by the relevant PM.
Hmm, excuse TLAs.
