QUOTE: Can I get an OE address or does anyone know what needs to be done? UNQUOTE:
Certainly not me, sorry!
I can only say that when I changed (correction: was FORCED to change!!!!) from Win XP to Win 7, I found that Outlook was not included with Win 7, you had to pay extra for it.
But with my XP machine I had bought MS Office which included Outlook (NOT Outlook Express please note). So I simply loaded my Office CDs (2 I think) as I needed both Word and Outlook and after loading, both have worked fine every since.
I've heard several people singing the praises of Chrome, etc, etc, so have tried that (and other "wonder surfers") but couldn't get on with any. So I'm still back in the "XP dark ages" with MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook (not Express please note) and MS Word, and remain very happily so.
About the only thing I really do NOT like is Win 7s "silly" idea (to me) of "Libraries" - I have a completely different, and to me "better", file filing system. But that's another topic sorry, I'm drifting!!!!
So I suggest if you have can get Office then you simply load Outlook (from the Office) into your machine. Setting up an account for E-mail in Outlook is easy and I'm sure your daughter can help.
