I sometimes wonder if we are better off letting these people stay here where we can 'keep an eye on them'. As long as they don't get the benefits of our welfare system that is. If they go back to their own country, who knows what they'll be plotting?
The down side though, is that they can pass on their extreme views to others here, but then they can do that in their own country anyway.

He has not been found guilty of any crime as yet and is entitled to a fair trial and his human rights just like you and me.

He hasn't been found guilty of anything yet. Innocent until proved guilty, you and me the same.
I think this is still a great country if we can protect human rights including freedom of speech, and not descend to the level you seem to think the Palestinians would.

You are correct in that he has never been found guilty in Britain only because of error in law but he has been found guilty in a court of law in Jordan in his absence so why not exradite him?

He isn't imprisoned. He's living in a taxpayer-funded house, eating taxpayer-funded food, along with his family. He may well be trying to stir up trouble with his alledged terrorist mates, again at the taxpayers' expense.

He hates the West, Christianity and all they stand for. Fine - he can go and hate them back home. Why our laws have become so convoluted that they make it difficult for government to ensure the safety of the Realm and ordinary people is something of a mystery to me, but the European Court of Human Rights was involved somewhere along the line. Abu whatsist's human rights are one thing, but what about the rights of the rest of us?

Sorry james I think it a bit more worrying that those who follow his preachings can blow my friends and family to pieces on the tube or on the bus, and even more worrying that those who are supposed to protect us from this sort of scum knew about those who commited these acts before they did so but were unable to stop them because some judge in foriegn country says we must wait until we have absolute positive proof that they are terrorists or it might impinge on theire human rights.
This person and his follwers hate us and our way of life with a passion but they love our benifits system go figure.

Last time I checked Belmarsh was a prison, he has spent around three years there with no charges.

Apart from Daily Mail rhetoric, what do we actually know about this man? Lets face it the whole war on terror and everything associated with it that comes out of a politicians mouth is lies. If the government are so convinced he is caught up in a massive terrorist plot why has he not been charged? Where is all the evidence? I have heard the words implicated, believed and connected quite a lot. I'm not a supporter of the bearded benefit sponge, if he wants to be a political activist do it at the weekend and go and get a bloody job. I'm more worried about the anti terror laws being used on people like you and me.

We're seeing British citizens extradited to America under the extradtion act of 2003 (pushed through by Blair under the guise of keeping us safe) for crimes such as copyright infringements, 10 years in jail squire.

The anti terrorism laws are a disgrace. In a world where the UK exports prisoners to be tortured I bet he is counting his blessings for human rights! His sentence originating from Jordan is a little iffy, but they should have deported him in 1999 and let them deal with their own affairs.

We don't need draconian laws to deal with these problems, ever heard of the IRA? We need to be very careful about giving away our freedom and unmitigated trust to a government under the impression of imminent danger from 'terrorists'. Hundreds of innocent men have been falsely imprisoned and tortured for years and It shows how much fear exists in our society when we are happy to condemn another man to a life like that. It's his choice in a way to be imprisoned in the UK. Must suit him or he wouldn't be fighting so bl**dy hard to stay here.

I believe in the principle of human rights but it's gone mad. if someone wants to live here then they should respect the laws and culture of the country or go somewhere else. Not doing so is potentially affecting the rights of other UK citizens.

The only reason this country is not Great anymore is because there are not enough people in it who are prepared to stand up and be great, it is the population who make a country what it is not he politicians, so all you whinging twats have a good think about what you have personally done to make this country a place to be proud off, I bet it's nothing, stop whining, get off your arse and do something about it.
