Thanks for further info, some good links there John.

I had a look online at the SIP 12" and it is a SNIP!

I cant believe it is reduced by ~60%, from £2821 to £1112 at SIPUK!

What a bargain or am I overlooking something?

The 12" version seems at least to have approx. the same table top dimension as the 10" version at 800x600mm.

Does anyone know if there are any shows coming up?

Thanks
HM

Just a note, the side table on the sip the is perminantly in position which may limit using the sliding carriage if space is an issue.

On the 4020 you can lower the side table to get more use out of the sliding carriage and it can be removed leaving you with just the foot print of the cast table, and with the wheel kit you can move it about.

NMA agencies sent a 4020vr up to The Saw Center in Glasgow during a demo weekend so I could see it. A rep was there to demo it and answer any questions I had.

All tables and carriage in place it is a big saw which might be an issue for you, if not, it may be more flexible in your space. I was really impressed with the saw and it might be worth contacting NMA and see whos got one in stock in your area, they couldn't have been more helpfull for me.

Whatever one you buy its good to have sizes to mark out how it will fit in your workshop.

Hope this helps

He's a few years behind the times unless you are looking at second-hand machines, they do have cast iron tops and have for quite a while.

unless they changed them since christmas perhaps.

Must have been old stock. It's been several years.
