Its a very good saw but its not the got the strongest guard in the world and other things are a bit plasticy etc. I've no qualms about its cutting ability, power or blade quality. Believe it or not it used to sell for about £50 when it first came out about 5 years ago.

Makita do great chop saws IMHO. Noticeably more accurate and robust than the DW and Bosch equivalents I have tried.
