Hi Which is Smaller? the Axminster AW10BSB2 or SIP 01332, I looking to buy one for my garage which is 2500mm wall to wall, and I thinking in buying the axminster Work bench for the left wall, Please take a look this picture

Many Thanks

The axminster has a sliding table so is much larger .If its left off they are similar size but you have to buy what you do not use .
Castors locking ones are the answer in a small shop make your own transporters with four quality steering castors, from your diagram for the table saw and router table then move things around to suit the job .
If the router table was the same height as the table saw it could be used as a out feed table.
It also a good idea to have all benches and tables the same height it helps to give support to larger jobs

Martin and Tony will be along soon to tell you all about the Axminster.

I can tell you that you get value for money with the Axminster saw and I use the sliding table more than I thought I would. Having said that, if you want a saw without the sliding table, the SIP would probably be the one I would have gone for as you can buy it for around £500 and they are a well known and respected tool manufacturer, I got the Axminster because it was about £300 cheaper than the SIP equivalent, governed by my budget.

The Axminster has done everything that I have asked it to and don't regret my decision, apart from not being able to move in the workshop

Hi, I don't really know how much I will used the sliding atachment, But I think I read in this forum that a company sell a sliding table for the SIP is this true?

Yes, you can get a sliding table for the SIP. It costs almost as much as the saw though. If you want a sliding table the Axminster is the one to go for.

I have a sliding table with my Kity 619 but keep it packed away due to the space it takes up, preferring a 'panel cutter' beloved of Norm. If anyone wants to buy it email me.

to be honest, having the axminster, i wouldn't bother in your space. You can't use the sliding carriage to it full advantage anyway (sold mine off, so did Tony). You are better suited to get the festool MFT, or make your own and set the router into this too. Better use of space. No point filling it up with machinery and benches if you don't have any floor space left.

How useful is the sliding attachment? Seeing it look like can be handy for Cross cut capacity ? or do do you think the miter gauge is more than enough?

The sliding table is very useful and the mitre gauge should only really be used for smaller work pieces.

Andy. The sliding carriage is useful if cutting alot of large panels but you're not going to fit the table and sliding carriage in the space you have (it will fit but you have no workstop space left). I would hold on, save the cash and think about what you need the saw for and how you can work around it.

I was thinking in a smallest saw like the kity 419 or the Scheppach ts2010

Tomorrow morning I will go to See The SIP, The Scheppach and the Axminster, and a Kity if I can find it a showroom near the M25
