Where to find vintage tools for restoration

I usually restore vintage cars for fun but am now looking to cut my teeth into vintage tools as well. I am currently struggling to find places to buy them, especially larger machine tools such as mills and lathes but also small hand tools. Does anyone know of places where I can buy these sorts of things from, preferably in a restorable, but challenging condition.

I would keep an eye out on www.homeworkshop.org, great site for selling or buying tools, a wanted add will work well on there too.

Car boots (especially the big ones) for small tools.

Most of my bigger ones (lathes, saw) came from eBay. One came from a dealer from whom I collected something then saw something else that I liked.

Online searches and tool/machine auctions have a lot of stuff, though I have not used them.

The Boley lathe that I am working on now came from a member on this forum. That's the ideal!
