Hi All

I am making a cabinet. The top two drawer are one and the drawer front will flap down to form a secretaire. I need two of these brass supports.

Any Ideas where I can get them. The one photoed came out of my junk box and I have had it years.

Thanks Paul

The window stays look like they will only give you a 45 degrees opening whereas you need 90 degrees. Sorry, I can't help with a source.

Bingo :D I've found them.

Martin.co.uk stock them as Secretaire Stays. Not cheep, though at £18 a pair

My thanks to all those who tried to help.

Have you considered making them? They shouldn't be too difficult or time consuming and you can get exactly the size you need. The lug at the end could be soldered on or bent.

Thanks Dan

Had a look at those hinges, but I don't think they are big enough. And now I am not sure about Martins. I got a pair of stays from them at £19 the pair! A good fast delivery, the quality is very poor, have a look.

I expected to pay a good price because they are not thinks you sell every day but I also expected quality. Sent them an email pointing out my displeasure but they haven't replied yet.

Also got two flush bolts from them, also expensive £15 each. The finish is good. but they are not flush.

As you can see from the side view the knob that slides the bolt sticks out. Will think twice about using them in the future.
