I've been offered several cypress logs between 1.2 & 2m long & 30-45cm diameter.
These are from a tree brought down in last week's storm.
How long should I leave them before having them resawn?

Thanks

Many years back my local timber miller/merchant milled a whole ash butt for me. He recommended it sit for several months before he milled and kiln dried it. I do a bit of milling and have found logs I have left in the round for a good time make planks that are less prone to warping. I dont know anything particular to cypress logs I'm afraid
