THEY THAT GO DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the LORD
You mean like Vikings?

I suspect if you logged out of your account and only logged in when you were going to buy somehting the emails would stop.

It wouldn't, I wasn't logged into my accounts at FFX or Axy at the time. If you want the emails to stop then you have to find the cookie they leave on your computer and delete it. Then delete it every time you log into your account, because they will leave a new one each time.

It's a session cookie, it'll expire. If it bothers you use Incognito / a private window. They aren't just for ****. GDPR will put a stop to it anyway - you just have to wait until the end of May (the month not the Harpee).

2 email accounts - one for personal stuff that you hand out to friends etc

the other for EE - everyone else - including facebook and linked-in - who can be quite bad as recruiters and other miscreants are obviously trawling linked-in.

If over time you shop with a company that isn't too intrusive - like amazon or workshop heaven for example (at least for me), move them over to the personal one that you look at the most - most have an "account" page where you can change the email address details etc.

I've got 3 currently and the EE account is rife with spam - 2 clicks, 1 to "select all" - 1 to delete.

Occasionally some get through to my personal one, but not often enough to matter.
