What silicone for a kitchen?

So we all know about the grease, temperature in a kitchen etc.

I'm thinking about removing the old silicone from the windows and thinking about applying some silicone to the edges of the wall cabinet to give it a nicer finish (it's never had them before) after recent painting.

Which would be a good silicone to go for? Ideally I would like one that doesn't get coloured or starts to peel away with all the cooking etc so was thinking about a bathroom one but would like to hear any advice from you guys?

Why silicon, look at hybrid sealants which many are also paintable.

If you can go the paintable route then do so. If not, look at the Dow Corning silicon range, they are the best.
